Vidya is a registered psychologist with over a decade of experience across private practice, community health, Child Safety, and not for profit settings. She completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in psychology overseas and has since attained further postgraduate qualifications in Australia. She is currently undertaking a Master of Clinical Psychology (Post Registration) to continue developing advanced clinical skills. Vidya is described as a warm and compassionate person who deeply values the therapeutic relationship, seeing it as the key to meaningful and lasting change. While she enjoys working with clients across the lifespan, she currently focuses on supporting adults aged 18 and over. Vidya has extensive experience working with adults presenting with mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, adjustment to life transitions, grief/loss, stress related concerns, interpersonal difficulties. Vidya also has a special interest in neurodiversity, providing therapy to clients with ADHD, and ASD. Vidya is known for fostering a calm, safe space that promotes healing, self discovery, and resilience. She helps clients deepen their understanding of themselves and offers practical tools to build confidence and navigate life’s challenges. Vidya believes in a collaborative approach and tailors her work to each person’s needs, drawing on evidence based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and attachment informed and parenting frameworks. Passionate about supporting people from diverse cultural backgrounds, she understands the complexities of adjustment and identity and can offer support in Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil.
