Additional support when symptoms become more complex.
Pregnancy, birth and early motherhood can be emotionally demanding experiences. While many mothers benefit from psychological therapy, there are times when additional medical support may be helpful.
Psychiatrists are medical doctors who specialise in mental health. They can assess more complex or persistent symptoms and provide guidance about treatment options.
Mums Matter is pleased to welcome Dr Beate Harrison, an experienced psychiatrist who works with adults experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including those that may arise during pregnancy and early parenthood.
How appointments work
Appointments with Dr Beate Harrison are facilitated through our clinical partner, Call to Mind, who provide administrative support for psychiatric consultations.
This allows Dr Beate Harrison to work closely with the Mums Matter team while appointments, referrals and billing are managed through an established specialist psychiatry service.
