Therapeutic modalities I work in
Hi! I'm Simone. I'm a registered psychologist who offers a casual, warm, non-judgmental, and deeply empathetic approach. My professional journey has involved extensive work with individuals navigating complex challenges, including histories of violent offending, trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, and personality disorders.
I would describe my practice as wholistic, drawing primarily from well-established and evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address thought patterns and behaviors, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to enhance emotional regulation and interpersonal skills, elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to foster psychological flexibility, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for processing traumatic memories. Furthermore, I find valuable insights within the frameworks of Schema Therapy, which helps to understand and address long-standing life patterns.
Within the therapy room, I value transparency, openness, and honesty, so we can collaboratively create an environment of mutual trust and understanding. My aim is to build a strong and genuine connection with you, creating a safe and collaborative space where you feel truly heard, validated, and empowered to explore your experiences and work towards your goals. I am dedicated to providing you with the tools you need to navigate your difficulties, develop coping strategies, and embark on a journey of healing and personal growth. My commitment is to walk alongside you with empathy and respect, with the hopes that our work together will help you live a life in line with your values.
