Jasmine Abad is a Registered Psychologist known for her calm presence, warmth, and compassionate approach to therapy. She works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, and significant life transitions. Jasmine believes therapy is not about “fixing” people, but about creating a safe space where individuals can understand themselves more fully and move toward meaningful, lasting change.
Connection sits at the heart of her work. Jasmine prioritises building a genuine therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard, respected, and accepted as they are. Many describe her approach as grounding and validating, while gently challenging when needed. She understands that starting therapy can feel daunting and aims to make the process collaborative, human, and paced to each person’s readiness.
Jasmine draws from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT). Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, she tailors therapy to support insight, emotional regulation, self-compassion, and practical coping strategies.
A key focus of her work is helping clients understand the links between thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and lived experiences. She supports exploration of long-standing patterns shaped by stress or trauma, encouraging movement away from self-criticism toward greater agency, healthy thought patterns and emotional freedom. Her work is trauma-informed, inclusive, and respectful of each person’s background and worldview.
Above all, Jasmine values authenticity. She believes healing grows through curiosity, kindness, and courage, supporting clients to build lives that feel aligned, meaningful, and deeply lived.
