Jasmine Abad is a Registered Psychologist who is known for her calm presence, warmth, and deeply compassionate approach to therapy. She works with adults, supporting individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, and significant life transitions. Jasmine believes that therapy is not about “fixing” people, but about creating a space where individuals can feel safe enough to understand themselves more fully and move toward meaningful, lasting change. At the core of Jasmine’s work is a strong emphasis on connection. She prioritises building a genuine therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard, respected, and accepted exactly as they are. Many people who work with Jasmine describe her approach as grounding and validating, while also gently challenging when needed. She understands that seeking therapy can feel daunting, and she aims to make the process feel human, collaborative, and paced to each individual’s readiness. Jasmine draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to tailor treatment to the unique needs of each client. Her work integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, Jasmine carefully adapts these modalities to support clients in developing insight, emotional regulation, self-compassion, and practical coping strategies. A key focus of Jasmine’s work involves helping individuals understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and lived experiences. She supports clients to gently explore long-standing patterns that may have developed in response to earlier life experiences, stress, or trauma. Through this process, clients are encouraged to move away from self-criticism and toward greater understanding, agency, and emotional freedom. Jasmine has a particular interest in working with individuals experiencing emotional dysregulation, trauma-related difficulties, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, attention-deficit and hyperactivity concerns, and identity- or values-based challenges. She also supports clients who feel disconnected from themselves, overwhelmed by expectations, or stuck in cycles of burnout and self-pressure. Her approach is trauma-informed, inclusive, and respectful of each person’s background, values, and worldview. Above all, Jasmine values authenticity in the therapy space. She believes that healing occurs not through perfection, but through curiosity, kindness, and the courage to be honest about one’s inner world. She works alongside clients to help them build lives that feel more aligned, meaningful, and sustainable — not just symptom-free, but deeply lived.
