Support should never feel out of reach

Proud partner of Mum Walk

Mum Walk has partnered with Mums Matter Psychology to help more mums access bulk-billed mental health support.

Together, we’re working to reduce stigma, encourage earlier help-seeking, and make it easier for mums to access expert support through pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.

You don’t need to be in a crisis to reach out

Motherhood can bring joy, love, and connection, but it can also bring overwhelm, anxiety, loneliness, identity shifts, and emotional exhaustion.

At Mums Matter Psychology, we support mums through postnatal depression and anxiety, but also through the full range of challenges that can shape emotional wellbeing in the perinatal season. Because if something is weighing on you, it matters.

Why this partnership matters

This partnership brings together both community connection and specialist mental health care, helping more mums access the support they need, in a way that feels compassionate, practical, and easier to reach.

Mums Matter Psychology is here to support you through more than just postnatal depression or anxiety.

We can support mums experiencing:
●    birth trauma
●    the transition to parenthood
●    relationship difficulties
●    pregnancy loss
●    infertility
●    baby care challenges like sleep and settling or feeding
●    bonding concerns
●    parental burnout
●    overwhelm, stress or anxiety during pregnancy and early parenthood

Every experience is different and every mum deserves support that meets her where she is.

What support with Mums Matter looks like

●    Bulk-billed support - accessible mental health care, so cost doesn’t become another barrier.
●    Telehealth appointments - support from home, wherever you are in Australia, including the days when leaving the house feels too hard.
●    Perinatal mental health expertise - compassionate, evidence-based care from clinicians who understand the emotional realities of pregnancy, postpartum and parenthood.
●    A gentle way in - this partnership with Mum Walk is designed to make getting support feel simpler, earlier and more approachable.

How to get support

If you’ve been feeling flat, anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected or just not like yourself, you do not have to wait until things get worse. Support is here. And it’s closer than you think.

  1. Visit your GP for a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) - this helps you access bulk-billed support through Medicare.

  2. Complete the client intake form - start by filling out the intake form so our team can understand your needs.

  3. Begin your sessions - once you’re ready, you can start accessing support with a Mums Matter clinician.
