Sarah is a registered general psychologist and clinical psychology registrar with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Her interest in perinatal psychology was sparked by her PhD research, which focused on long-term social outcomes following premature birth. This work gave her a deep appreciation of the mental health challenges that can arise for parents during the perinatal period and instilled a desire to support women through this time. She has experience working with people across the lifespan, although now has a preference for working with adults aged 18 years and above. She has a warm, affirming and compassionate style, and aims to foster a safe therapeutic relationship with clients using a flexible, individualised approach. Her treatment modalities include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). In her personal life, Sarah enjoys staying active, being creative with food, exploring new places and spending time with loved ones.
