Sarah Leipoldt is an AHPRA-registered psychologist with extensive experience working across public mental health, forensic and disability settings. Sarah has experience working with a range of complex presentations including mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis, personality disorders, trauma-related difficulties, suicidality, substance use, and neurodevelopmental conditions. Sarah holds a BA (Hons) in Psychology and a MSc in Health Psychology. She is currently undertaking a Masters of Clinical Psychology (Post-Registration) through the Cairnmillar Institute to further develop advanced clinical competencies. Her therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). Sarah takes a trauma-informed, collaborative approach to therapy, with a strong emphasis on shared formulation and meaning-making. She values building safe therapeutic relationships and works alongside individuals to develop an understanding of the factors contributing to their difficulties, strengths, and goals for recovery. Sarah is originally from Northern Ireland and now lives in Perth, WA with her husband and three young children.
