Fran Lukin is a Registered Psychologist and Board-Approved Supervisor with a special interest in supporting women throughout pregnancy, the postpartum period, and the transition to motherhood. Fran understands that becoming a mother can be both deeply rewarding and incredibly challenging. Pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood often bring significant emotional, physical, and relational changes, and many women find themselves navigating anxiety, low mood, overwhelm, identity shifts, self-doubt, and the pressures of balancing competing demands. Fran provides a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where mothers can feel heard, supported, and understood. Fran works with women experiencing perinatal anxiety, perinatal depression, birth trauma, adjustment to parenthood, parenting stress, burnout, relationship challenges, grief and loss, fertility-related difficulties, and concerns relating to confidence and self-worth during the transition to motherhood. She is passionate about helping women make sense of their experiences and feel more connected to themselves, their values, and their families. Her approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and tailored to each individual's needs. Fran draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and other trauma-informed approaches to support meaningful and lasting change. As both a psychologist and a mother, Fran appreciates that there is no "right" way to navigate motherhood. She is committed to helping women develop practical coping strategies, strengthen self-compassion, and build confidence as they move through the challenges and joys of the perinatal journey.
