General Psychologist

Charlotte Brunt

I am a psychologist passionate about supporting parents through the emotional rollercoaster that can come with pregnancy, becoming a parent, and navigating life with children. While parenthood can bring moments of joy, love, connection, and meaning, it can also bring unexpected challenges, uncertainty, overwhelm, and significant changes to, well… everything. I support clients experiencing anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, adjustment to parenthood, relationship challenges, and difficulties finding space for themselves while caring for others. I am particularly passionate about supporting parents as they navigate the many changes that come with this transition, including shifting identities, changing expectations, and the seemingly never-ending pressure that can come with wanting to do the best for their family. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, therapy is something we do together. I aim to provide a space where parents can simply be, a space to step out of the demands of caring for others, reconnect with themselves, and explore their experiences, emotions, and challenges without judgement, pressure, or the expectation that you should already know exactly how to navigate this new chapter. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema therapy. These approaches help support parents in understanding their experiences, reducing overwhelm, and working through the emotional and relational challenges that can arise during pregnancy and parenthood, with a focus on what feels most meaningful and helpful for you.
