Catherine Simes

Hello, and welcome! I'm Cath, an AHPRA-registered Psychologist with over 30 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults and families through life's challenges and transitions.

I'm also the proud mum of three wonderful young adult children, so I remember well the excitement, joy and anticipation of bringing each new baby home. I also remember the sleep deprivation, physical recovery, hormonal changes, shifting identity and the feeling that almost every aspect of life had changed.

Becoming a parent is one of life's greatest joys, but it can also bring anxiety, overwhelm, self-doubt, relationship changes and the challenge of adjusting to your new role. I also remember how welcoming a new baby affected my older children and the adjustments our whole family made together.

My aim is to provide a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you feel heard, understood and supported. Together, we'll work to build your confidence, strengthen your wellbeing and help you thrive as you and your family navigate this new chapter.

My therapeutic style is warm, practical and collaborative. I tailor sessions to your individual needs, drawing on evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, coaching strategies and SMART goal setting.

I look forward to supporting you through this special season of life.
