Stephanie Bienvenue (Mat leave)

Mental Health Social Worker: Telehealth

Stephanie is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). She has 10 years of career as a Mental Health Social Worker in both Australia and America and a deep passion to help others believe the best in themselves and reach their highest potential.

She has a broad range of experience in providing culturally and linguistically sensitive mental health services and delivering high quality therapeutic interventions and mental health services to children, adolescents, and adult clients as well as their families. She provides engagement, assessment and support services of a high standard to clients, and their families, using evidence-based practice principles. She is trained in Parents Under Pressure Counselling and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, and has a well of understanding in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and trauma-informed therapy. She has completed perinatal mental health specific training with the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE) and The Seleni Institute in New York.

Born in the French part of Canada, Quebec, she has travelled the world and lived in 5 different countries. Stephanie is easy-going, warm, and enthusiastic and has a proven ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients and peers. She is trilingual in French, English and Spanish, has experience in the field globally, and as such values and celebrates cultural differences. She is devoted to supporting women challenged by pregnancy or early parenthood and help them reach meaningful engagement in parenting and life. She recently relocated to Perth from Brisbane and is excited to embark on this new journey with us at Mums Matter Psychology.
