Liggia is a registered Mental Health Social Worker with more than 20 years’ experience with adults who experience emotional difficulties & mental health conditions: depression & anxiety. Liggia has worked with individuals as a counsellor in community health: women’s refuge; youth, aged and veteran services. Liggia works in private practice with woman experiencing perinatal difficulties & also sees clients with a broad range of mental health concerns.
Liggia uses interventions that are evidenced based such as: Attachment & Emotion focused; Cognitive Behavioural theory; Acceptance & Commitment therapy, trauma theories, grief & loss models.
Liggia has completed perinatal training with The Perinatal & Infant Mental health Training & Development Institute (Gidget Foundation Aust) & The Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE).
Liggia works with you to form a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel heard and better able to care for yourself and baby.
