Bachelor of Psychology (Deans list), Master of Psychology Practice (Clinical- Completing)

Katie is interested in working with parents (including those expecting), children and those that are wanting to become parents. Katie became passionate about working with individuals in their parenting journey after becoming a mother herself. She understands the difficulties that can occur when couples are trying to start a family and is familiar with fertility interventions. Furthermore, she has experience working with families who have experienced miscarriage, perinatal depression and anxiety and is keen to work more exclusively in this area. Katie has a strong motivation toward supporting families in the pre/post natal periods to support parents with adapting to the vast changes that occur when becoming a parent/ adding to their family. She uses a range of therapeutic interventions that include, Circle of Security, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focused Intervention, mindfulness and attachment-based interventions.

Katie has completed Perinatal training through the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE) and the Seleni Institute.
