Catherine is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

Catherine has a keen interest in the assessment and treatment of mental health disorders in the
perinatal period. She has extensive experience working with parents and families in multiple contexts including public mental health, child protection and youth justice.

Catherine’s work is informed by attachment theory which acknowledges the impact of early life experiences on relationships and mentalhealth throughout the lifespan. Catherine is passionate about working with parents and families to rebuild their relationships and in doing so, improve their mental health and support the development of a secure attachment with their children. Catherine has also supported individuals and families with a broad range of difficulties, including low mood/depression, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties and stress.

Catherine is a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental therapist who is passionate about building supportive and nurturing relationships with her clients to help them achieve their goals. She draws on a range of psychological models including attachment, interpersonal psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioural, mindfulness and compassion-based approaches. Catherine has completed perinatal mental health specific training from the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE) and is currently completing further perinatal training with the Seleni Institute and the Centre for Perinatal Psychology. She is also a Circle of Security program facilitator.
