Bernadette Durkan

Psychologist: Telehealth

Bernadette is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS). Bernadette brings a collaborative approach to her work and has experience with a wide range of communities during her training at Victoria University Clinic in Footscray as well as her voluntary role in crisis counselling. Her warm and compassionate nature provides parents support and empowerment during the perinatal period.

Bernadette utilises an integrative therapeutic approach including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness based therapy all with a trauma informed approach. She has completed training in Maternal Mental Health from the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE) as well as the Seleni Institute’s Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorder training.
