Ione approaches her work with warmth, curiosity, and a strong sense of collaboration. She flexibly draws on a range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy, to support individual client needs.
Ione has experience working with concerns such as anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, grief and emotional dysregulation. She is passionate about supporting families during the perinatal period and is sensitive to each client’s unique circumstances and experience of becoming a parent. Ione’s goal is to help parents to develop helpful coping strategies and strengthen their attachment with their children.
Ione is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory Authority (AHPRA) and holds current membership with Australian Psychology Society (APS), the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPi), Australian Association for Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy (AACBT) and the Australia and New Zealand Association for Contextual Behavioural Science (ANZ ACBS). Ione is also an Accredited Circle of Security Parenting Program Facilitator.
