Elissa is a registered psychologist and has experience working with individuals across the lifespan in educational and community mental health settings. Using a person-centred approach Elissa is dedicated to building strong therapeutic relationships, fostering a non-judgmental space and working collaboratively with clients to empower them to overcome their barriers and improve their wellbeing.
Elissa provides support to clients presenting with concerns including anxiety, low mood, stress, adjustment difficulties and interpersonal challenges and incorporates evidence-based frameworks including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. A mother herself, Elissa is passionate about supporting famillies during their parenting journey and brings genuine empathy, insight and a compassionate understanding of the challenges and adjustments across motherhood. Elissa takes a holistic approach to practice, recognising that adjusting to parenthood can bring social, physical, emotional, relationship and identity changes, and that supporting mothers positively impacts the wellbeing of the whole family.
