I believe in a holistic approach to therapy, recognising that the psychological and physical both impact overall mental well-being and as such my approach to therapy includes elements of each in order to achieve lasting change. Elise has a Graduate Diploma of Psychological Science from Bond University, has worked in the field of Psychology for 8 years and is currently completing her clinical masters. Elise is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Elise utilises several evidence based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) as well as continuing training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Elise has worked with a diverse range of clients from children to adults, across a variety of settings including but not limited to private practice, vocational, correctional, and educational institutions providing therapy and conducting assessments. I have worked with various presentations including Anxiety, Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and addiction. I have specific interest in working with people experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship/interpersonal difficulties, sleep issues, and low motivation.
