Carlie Spinks
Carlie is a generally registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) who has provided care to a wide range of client groups and values respect, kindness and non-judgement within the treatment and care she provides. She draws on a strength-based approach within the therapeutic space and believes the practitioner/client relationship thrives with mutual respect, warmth, humour and compassion. Carlie has a special interest in relationships, intimacy and maternal health and emphasises improving communication techniques and empathy to support increased wellbeing within a diverse range of family structures. Carlie is experienced in group facilitation along with delivering treatment which supports positive behaviour change, leveraging on elements of Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). She has also completed perinatal specific training with the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE), as well as the Maternal Mental Health Intensive course through the Seleni Institute).
