General Psychologist
Amber-lee Buendicho
I’m Amber-lee, a Registered Psychologist with a particular interest in supporting women and families through pregnancy, birth and the transition into motherhood and parenthood. I work with parents who might be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted, disconnected from themselves, struggling after childbirth, or finding motherhood and parenthood very different from what they expected.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and attachment-focused. I draw from CBT, ACT, Compassion Focused frameworks and Circle of Security principles, tailoring therapy to each person and their circumstances. I'm especially interested in supporting birth trauma, anxiety, depression, the mental load, guilt and shame, grief and loss, identity changes and bonding difficulties.
A session with me is a space where you don’t need to have the right words or know exactly what is wrong. Together, we can make sense of what you’re experiencing, explore what may be contributing to it, and find practical ways forward that feel realistic for you.
