Wava is registered as a Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and has experience working in medical, mental health, public, private, inpatient, outpatient, individual, and group settings with individuals with different backgrounds and difficulties impacting their mental and physical health. She primarily draws on cognitive, behavioural, mindfulness, trauma-informed, and psychodynamic skills to better understand and help clients work towards their goals in a compassionate and nonjudgmental environment.
Wava is interested in perinatal mental health and supporting others through their individual journeys of fertility, pregnancy, loss, labour, postpartum, becoming a parent, and raising children. In addition to completing her Masters in Clinical Psychology, which focused on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approaches, and clinical endorsement training, which sparked an interest in psychodynamic therapy, Wava has completed perinatal mental health specific training through the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE). She is passionate about health, balance, and living the life you want to live.
