Lisa Ellis

Psychologist: Telehealth

BA Applied Science (Psychology) (Honours)
Currently studying: Master of Clinical Psychology

Lisa is a registered Psychologist with the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She has been working as a Psychologist for over 20 years in various settings including secondary and TAFE educational systems in addition to working in a private practice specialising in chronic illness.

Lisa has spent the majority of her career working with adolescents and their families, and has a solid understanding of the complexity and the importance of the family and parenting environment. Lisa has recently moved into the area of perinatal mental health which has been an area of interest of hers for some time. She is currently completing her Master of Clinical Psychology at Cairnmillar Institute in addition to Training with the Centre for Perinatal Excellence (COPE).

Lisa is dedicated to improving mental health outcomes for her clients and aims to work collaboratively with her clients to tailor the most effective approach to therapy. Lisa works from a client-centred approach and is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focussed Brief Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. She is passionate about helping clients navigate the often complicated and challenging journey of parenthood and offers a safe, supportive and caring environment.
