Kate is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Her approach is a combination of empathy and compassion, incorporating evidence based strategies to support individuals within the context of their needs. Kate has worked extensively with children, adolescents, their families and community. She integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and connecting aspects of Compassion Focussed Therapy and Attachment theory in her approach.
Kate’s connection to the field of perinatal and infant mental health was through her own experience of motherhood and recognises that everyone’s experience of parenthood, is unique and different.
Kate is committed to continuous professional growth, including commencement of the Perinatal Mental Health Assessment and Care through the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE) whilst also commencing her journey towards Clinical endorsement.
