Dr Danielle Cannon is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She received her Doctor of Philosophy under the school of Medicine at Griffith University, her Master of Professional Psychology from University of Southern Queensland. She is currently studying her Master of Clinical Psychology Advanced Entry. She has delivered care in a variety of settings, including behavioural support and school based settings, as well as in private practice. Danielle’s clinical experience includes working across diverse backgrounds with a range of mental health presentations.
Danielle works collaboratively with her clients with a warm, compassionate, accepting approach, to support them through their mental health journey. She utilises Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and tailors her approach to suit the needs of each client when working towards their therapy goals.
Being a mother herself, Danielle is particularly drawn to the field of perinatal psychology and the different challenges that both pregnancy and motherhood can present. She is deeply passionate about providing support to parents and those anticipating parenthood, recognising that this journey is different for every individual.
Danielle is dedicated to her professional development and has completed training in various areas including perinatal specific training with the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE).
