Psychologist: Telehealth

B.Arts Communications, Grap Dip Psychology, Grap Dip Advanced Psychology

Amanda is a psychologist who has worked with parents across many different therapeutic
contexts, with a strong focus on the perinatal field.

Amanda is reliably warm, empathetic, and compassionate when providing practical tools for client support. Amanda measures success with her client by the connection and trust in the therapeutic relationship. Designing a sound treatment plan is a collaborative process with her clients.

Treatment plans in a perinatal context may be a client’s first experience of therapy. Amanda
aims for her sessions to be productive in alleviating your pressing challenges and help you
to form a positive association with therapy. Good therapy should help to improve your quality of life and Amanda looks forward to supporting you on this journey.

Amanda's evidence-based care is tailored to unique needs and based on first addressing the
most pressing emotional circumstances. Amanda adopts a blend of treatment approaches.
They include Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy and
Acceptance, and Commitment Therapy.
Issues around fertility, birth trauma, perinatal loss, infant care, relationship issues and
financial uncertainties often lead to unexpected levels of pain. Amanda has found that
positive psychological outcomes are often the consequence of providing her clients with a supportive treatment plan.
