Zahia Chaaban is an Educational & Developmental psychologist who is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), as well as the APS College of Educational & Developmental Psychologists. Zahia has been registered for over 15 years and is currently completing her studies in
a Master of Clinical Psychology. Zahia has worked in the NSW criminal justice system as well as in
private practice, providing counselling to individuals, couples and families with anxiety, depression, trauma, personality disorders, substance abuse, and relationship issues. Zahia believes in the importance of connecting with her clients in an open and non- judgmental manner, and ensuring that any treatment plan is developed collaboratively. Zahia is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
(CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TFCBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance
Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).
