Vanilla Stener is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Vanilla has worked in forensic settings, in aged care, as a fertility counsellor and in private practice. She has seen clients across the lifespan, including those who experienced challenges associated with mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, substance abuse, trauma, sleep disturbances and stress. She has experience in individual- and group therapy as well as telehealth. Vanilla enjoys working collaboratively with her clients to build trust, instil hope, gain insight and reach therapeutic goals. She has completed perinatal specific training with the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE), the Perinatal Mental Health Program at the University of Sydney and Australian Psychology Society’s Perinatal Non-Directive Counselling Training. Vanilla is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
