B.Arts, Master of Social Work, Postgrad Cert in Applied Mental Health (Perinatal and Infant).
Rebecca is an experienced and qualified Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). She holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Social Work, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Mental Health with a focus on Perinatal and Infant care.
With over 10 years of experience as a social worker, Rebecca has worked with individuals and families dealing with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, parenting difficulties, relationship challenges, and grief and loss. She utilises evidence-based interventions such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and psychoeducation. Rebecca is also a trained facilitator of Circle of Security, a parent-education program aimed at enhancing attachment and emotional security in children, and trained in Newborn Behavioural Observations.
Rebecca is passionate about supporting women who are facing difficulties related to pregnancy, birth, early parenting, and attachment. She provides a welcoming and calming space for clients to explore their challenges and mental health concerns. Rebecca is warm, honest, and compassionate, and committed to working alongside her clients to help them reach their desired goals.
Rebecca has completed training in Maternal Mental Health from the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE) and is currently completing the Maternal Mental Health Intensive training course from the Seleni Institute.
