Clinical Psychologist: Corio, Telehealth
Leah Torpy is a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She has worked predominantly in school settings providing assessment and interventions for students and families for issues around learning difficulties, depression, anxiety and social/emotional difficulties. She also has experience is facilitating group programs with parents focusing on the emotional connection between parents and their children. Leah is passionate about supporting women in the transition to becoming parents and adapting to parenthood. Leah also takes an interest in multiple births and the unique challenges that face parents raising multiples. She has an empathetic and compassionate approach to care as well as using a range of evidence-based techniques including interpersonal therapy and mindfulness. She has completed perinatal specific training with the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE) and the Perinatal Mental Health Program at the University of Sydney.
