Kirsty Troy is a General Psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA), currently undertaking Clinical Endorsement. Kirsty has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. She has delivered individual and group therapy for women during the antenatal and postnatal periods during her clinical placement at the Royal Women’s Hospital.
Kirsty has a collaborative, person-centred, strengths-based approach to therapy, and offers an empathetic, non-judgmental environment.
She draws upon multiple evidence-based approaches to best support her clients in achieving their goals. Approaches include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and supportive counselling.
Kirsty has completed training in Maternal Mental Health from the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE) as well as the Seleni Institute’s Maternal Mental Health Intensive training course.
