Kirsty is a registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. She has completed her Master of Professional Psychology and Professional Internship, and is currently studying her Clinical Psychology Masters. Kirsty enjoys implementing therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and self-compassion in her work, depending on the clients needs.
Kirsty has a strong interest in working with children, adolescents, and their families, and particularly with those experiencing anxiety, attachment and behavioural difficulties. Kirsty works with a systemic approach which acknowledges that a young person is just one person in a complex system such as a family. Kirsty has special interests in assessment of developmental and educational difficulties, and working with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) like presentations. She works with a collaborative approach to help young people and their families reach their potential.
