Kim Dang McDonald
Mental Health Occupational Therapist: Seabrook/Telehealth
Kim is a registered mental health occupational therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She has worked in a variety of settings ranging from tertiary mental health services to community health centres. Kim has years of experience working with people from across the lifespan, from non-English speaking backgrounds e.g. refugees, and people who identify as LGBTQI+. In recent years, Kim has specialised in supporting adolescents and their parents whilst working at headspace, Australia’s Youth Mental Health Foundation. She assists clients with a range of challenges, from dealing with everyday struggles to managing significant mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety and trauma. Kim has a passion for working with new or expectant parents to navigate the highs and lows of the transition to parenthood.
Kim has a warm, compassionate and strengths-based approach, working collaboratively with clients to overcome hurdles affecting their wellbeing.
Kim has completed perinatal mental health training with the Centre of Perinatal Excellence and is currently completing the perinatal mental health program at the University of Sydney.
