Emily is a General Psychologist registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA). Emily has experience working with children, adolescents and adults with a particular interest and experience in working with parents. Emily has worked in the early parenting sector for the past 5 years supporting parents within parenting programs and also in a psychologist role supporting parents with their mental health. Emily is trained in the Circle of Security program and has a strong interest in attachment theory.
Emily has also worked within private practice settings supporting adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties such as depression, generalised anxiety and worry, low self-esteem, stress, perfectionism, and poor overall wellbeing.
Emily takes a varied therapy approach, applying strategies from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), schema-based approaches and cognitive and behavioural therapy (CBT). Each treatment plan is always designed accordingly to the unique needs of the client, their personal goals and situation.
