Dr Sam Casey

Mental Health Social Worker (PhD) : Telehealth

B.Arts (Psychology), Master of Social Work, PhD

Sam is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and a Registered Play Therapist with the Australasia Pacific Play Therapy Association (APPTA). She has worked with children and families for over 15 years, across various disciplines.

Sam has worked with a range of presenting issues across the lifespan, including but not limited to, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, parenting issues and life transitions. She utilises several evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Psychoeducation.

Sam is passionate about working with mothers in pregnancy and early parenthood to assist them in the transition of this new phase of their life. She draws upon her extensive experience in working with families, trauma, attachment issues and culturally diverse populations.

Sam has completed perinatal specific training with the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE) and maternal mental health training through the Seleni Institute.
