Dr Katie Little (Mat leave)
Clinical Psychologist: Torquay/Telehealth
Katie is a registered Clinical psychologist with the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She completed her training in the UK and has over 10years experience working in mental health services, primarily in public mental health services working with children, adolescents and families. She has also worked in education, forensic, drug and alcohol and physical health settings. Through her experience and training, she has developed a strong interest in perinatal mental health. Katie has supported individuals and families with a broad range of difficulties including low mood/depression, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, and trauma. She offers a warm, empathic approach and is passionate about providing collaborative, evidence-based care that is tailored to support the needs of the individual or family. She draws on a range of psychological models including attachment, interpersonal psychotherapy, cognitive -behavioural and compassion-based approaches.
Katie is currently completing the Maternal Mental Health Intensive course through the Selini Institute and perinatal specific training with the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE).
