Ali Tanner is a registered Clinical and Forensic Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Ali is committed to supporting adolescents, adults, and families through evidence-based practice and a warm, compassionate, and client-centred approach. She incorporates elements of several frameworks, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to assist clients to make meaningful changes and improve their quality of life.
Ali greatly values the therapeutic relationship in creating a safe and accepting space for clients to feel understood and supported. Her areas of clinical interest and expertise include adjustment issues (transition to parenthood), depression and anxiety, anger management, self-esteem and identity, early parenting, and interpersonal relationships.
Ali has completed the Maternal Mental Health Intensive with the Seleni Institute as well as perinatal mental health training with the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE).
