Alexandra is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Alexandra has been working as a psychologist for over 10-years and prior to that she began her career in the field as a crisis counsellor and refuge facilitator in a family and domestic violence service.
Alexandra has experience working across a number of settings both public and private, providing psychological services to children, adolescents and adults. She has experience in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder and relationship concerns.
Alexandra is currently undertaking further study, completing a Master of Clinical Psychology, she has a Master of Brain and Mind Sciences from the University of Sydney and where it may be of benefit to the therapeutic process can integrate neuroscience to assist understanding and healing processes.
Alexandra is equipped to tailor sessions and therapeutic approaches to the needs of the individual, using a range of therapies including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), schema therapy and interpersonal supportive counselling.
